Petsecure Company Profile and Products

Petsecure is an experienced insurance company that has been selling pet insurance in Australian for over 15 years.  Unlike most other Australian pet insurance companies, Petsecure specialises in pet insurance.  They offer a range of pet insurance policies that are affordable and packed with features.

Petsecure is backed by The Hollard Insurance Company Pty Ltd — one of the world’s largest financial services companies.  Hollard is also Australia’s largest pet insurance provider, delivering pet insurance to thousands of pets across the country.

Petsecure’s mission is to provide affordable insurance policies that are comprehensive and packed with meaningful benefits.  They also aim to pay claims as quickly as possible, usually within the first 48 hours.

They donate a part of their profits to community based pet rescue organisations around Australia.  When you choose Petsecure as your insurance provider, you are also helping many homeless and abused pets.

Petsecure offers two types of pet insurance policies.  Accident Cover helps you pay for any veterinary costs resulting from an accidental injury.  Accident & Illness Cover also helps you pay for veterinary expenses relating to illnesses.  This guide will take a closer look at the policies provided by Petsecure.

Animals Covered by Petsecure Pet Insurance

  • Dogs older than 8 weeks of age
  • Cats older than 8 weeks of age

Petsecure provides lifetime cover for illnesses if your pet is insured before reaching 9 years of age.  They provide accident only cover to pets of any age.

The Benefits of Petsecure Pet Insurance

The cost of taking a pet to the vet has rapidly increased over the past decade in Australia.  It can cost thousands of dollars to treat an animal for a common condition like a bladder infection or broken leg.  Diseases like cancer or diabetes can cost much more to treat.

For a small monthly premium, Petsecure pet insurance will help you pay for any veterinarian costs that arise from accidents or injuries.  You will be financially protected and won’t face large unexpected bills.  Having pet insurance also ensures that your pet is well looked after if they become unwell, regardless of your financial situation.

You can use Petsecure pet insurance to pay for bills from any qualified veterinarian across Australia.  Because Petsecure is providing financial assistance, you will be able to get the very best treatment for your pet.  You won’t be forced to search for a more affordable vet or opt-out of more expensive treatments.

Having Petsecure pet insurance also means you will be more likely to immediately obtain treatment for your pet.  You won’t use a wait-and-see approach if you suspect they are ill.

Petsecure pet insurance will pay up to 85% of your pet’s veterinary bills, with an annual benefit limit of up to $12,000.  Their policies have some useful features and optional wetness coverage.

A portion of Petsecure’s profits are used to support animal shelters.  That means you will be helping abandoned or injured animals when you choose Petsecure.
